About Instrumentation & Control Department
The International Society of Automation (ISA) defines instrumentation as "the art and science of measurement and control". It involves using and/or working with instruments used to measure, record, and control process variables (such as level, flow, temperature, and pressure). Instrumentation Control engineering or control systems engineering is the engineering discipline that applies control theory to design systems with desired behaviors. Control engineers are responsible for the research, design, development and control devices/systems, typically in manufacturing facilities and plants.
The Department of Instrumentation and Control started in the year 2014 in SAL technical campus. The Undergraduate programmes offered by the department are accredited by the GTU and AICTE. The department boasts qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty to impart fundamental and applied knowledge in the field of Industrial Automation, Process Systems Engineering, Instrumentation Systems Engineering and Biomedical Instrumentation. The department focuses on preparing the students to meet global industrial challenges. The ultimate goal is to make them aware of the recent advances taking place in the technological field.
Some of the unique features of the Department are:
Parents of the present students meet the Head of the Department for guidance and information on their wards studying in Chemical engineering.
Students are counselled on one to one basis for their academic and over all development.
The parents and the aspirant student visitors are provided information on the Department, College, Campus and Management during their visits.
