Department of Civil Engineering, SAL Institute of Technology & Engineering Research had arranged a visit to explore the Adani port and to get real life experience of various components of port and ship components for better understanding of subject. For better understanding of subject in civil engineering entitled Port & Harbor Engineering and to have real life experience of port & Ship components an industrial visit had been organized at Adani port, Mundra with 54 students and 02 faculties, Prof. Deep Patel and Prof. Rachana. On arrival at Shantivan Colony, Mundra an introductory session was conducted by Mr. Vivek Gupta, Guide at Adani port. In the visit students visited the west terminal of Port, Power plant & solar panel manufacturing plant. They got the knowledge of Break water, Jetty, Wharf, Cargo handling equipment’s, Ship components, Power generation, Solar panel production.
